Kodiak came to our family from Babbling Brook Shiloh's at 8 weeks of age. He was our first Shiloh Shepherd and we were instantly hooked by this magnificent breed.
Shiloh Shepherd's are not only known for their great size, but also their superior intelligence and temperaments. Almost instantly Kodiak proved to be no different. He was housebroken in only about 2 weeks with minimal accidents. Within a few days of coming to live with our family he was sitting by the door at potty time.
He began Puppy Obedience classes and we are proud to say he was the smartest in his class along with being the biggest!
His name says it all about him. He's a big fluffy cuddly teddy bear who absolutely loves children. This comes quite naturally to Kodiak. Our 3 sons are all grown up and we have no grandchildren yet. He is generally not around any kids unless we are out in public. He will immediately sit for a child. Once the child is comfortable enough to meet and greet him, they are sure to get a face licking! here to add text.
At only 4 months of age, we were confronted with a coyote in our yard. He immediately sensed the danger and guided me back into the house. Most recently, we were out for a late night walk when he chased off another lone wild coyote. He is truly a natural guardian.

We are extremely proud to announce that Kodiak has earned the title of Grand Victor (GV) by the SSBA REGISTRY. He will receive his award at the SSBA Specialty in August 2009
Kodiak has far exceeded our expectations on all levels. We hope you enjoy his photos nearly as much as we enjoy sharing our lives with him.
He provides our home with just the right amount of security. He has proven his natural protectiveness in very appropriate ways.
